This was an absolutely fantastic and heartwarming western romance. When you're putting off chores and other duties to read it, you know you've found a keeper. The quick synopsis on the back cover would have you believe its a tale about Jennie and Austin, but in truth it's much more than that. There are many key players in this one which stars three women (Jennie, Delta, and Audrey) the orphan they all fall in love with (True) the Marshal (Austin) and town outsider (Colton).

All of the characters were warm, giving, and unique individuals with different personalities. I adored both Jennie and Austin who weren't looking for love, but found it nonetheless. There's no denying their chemistry, and the love between them was very touching and wonderfully written. The other romance featuring Delta and Colton is more complex, but beautiful in its intensity. Delta and Colton were both hiding shameful secrets and horrible pasts, and I couldn't wait for them to find their happily ever after. Audrey was funny and outspoken and just a delightful addition to the cast. Then there was True who will steal your heart. I, along with everyone else in this book couldn't help but fall in love with the irresistible little rascal!

This had everything a great story should and was without any doubt a true pleasure to read. It was fun, moving, fast paced, and extremely enjoyable. There was never a boring moment and the excitement and adventure is palpable throughout. There's nothing I didn't love about it and I'd highly recommend it to all historical and western romance fans. It was a re-read for me that I keep in my personal collection, and in my opinion one of Ms. Thomas's best and not to be missed =)
