Ok this is the first review i have ever written and i am only writing because i disliked this book so much. Its annoying to have to read through and make the choices only to have to go back. Along those lines its annoying because you might want to make more than one choice and see what happens but then you would have t make another choice and another and tat would pretty must be impossibly to follow 4 plots at one time. Its also annoying that you cannot really read every "chapter" because it would be out of order and confusing. The book itself does not flow (as i can tell from the several paths i have chosen to go down). Some of the endings do not make much sense and the plot stops abruptly in a few paths. I would not recommend this book to anyone.
this is a very good book but i dont recommend it on the kindle. after each chapter you chose which page you want to go to but the kindle doesnt have page numbers so it is hard to find the correct page. i would highly recommend it if it was the real book though.
this book was so bad i didnt even finish it. i felt so stupid reading it, it had absolutely no point and the story was boring.
the story jumps to fast and at times i feel like i missed something. its such a hassle trying to figure out whats going on.
basically, its about guys who fall in love with one girl. it really has NO MEANING. its pointless and the story just does not flow. plus you have to choose where you want the story to go and if youre wrong..which i was..you have to start all over..theres really no point in reading this.
i thought it was fun choosing a path for the story but its not. its a complete waste of time.
i would not recommend this book to anyone. save your money and your more importantly, save your time.
This is as we used to say, a `choose your own ending' book. The first chapter finds Haley, her parents and much younger brother on a family vacation over Thanksgiving weekend. Since they have just moved, Haley is the new girl in high school, which opens up many social issues for Haley to be involved in. The beginning seemed tame; I chose my endings and moved through the book at a quick pace. In my endings, I have Haley always doing the `right thing' (or safe thing) like going shopping with her mom at the mall. I finished the book quickly and was pleased--it was fun to do. After a bit I thought to myself, let's see what would have happened if I chose another ending instead. Well! Then the fun really began! I couldn't wait to read each and every scenario, and the writing was good, to boot. Bravo!
When I picked this book up, I had no idea about it. When I began reading about Haley, I was just curious. So when I sent Haley to see how her friend Sasha was getting on, I decided to leave Haley alone with convicted guy Luke. That was the worst thing I could have chosen. I ended up getting Sasha put in care, Haley's brother with a broken arm, and Haley? Well, a reputation was gained.
You choose what Haley does. My advice? DON'T send her to Sigma, and if you do, take her home at the first chance you get-if you don't want Haley nearly naked in front of boys and the cool group, or REALLY drunk. If you do keep Haley at Sigma, I'll say this "Hang your head and go back to Page 1."
Haley may be the luckiest girl at Hillsdale High, even if she doesn't know it. She is the new girl. After moving across the country she has a new haircut and a chance to start over. The only problem is that there are a ton of decisions to make and each one will affect the way her new high school career turns out. Luckily for her, other people get to make them for her! In this "choose your destiny" book, readers get to make important social decisions for Haley. Each decision changes the ending in some way.
There are a variety of characters that remain the same in each version, but the endings are all different. Should Haley take one of her new friends back to California, or will that spell disaster by mixing her old life with the new one that is going so well for her? Sasha, the soccer star, is suddenly acting strange. Should Haley tell her parents or try to investigate it herself? Along the way there are a variety of gorgeous boys of all types to choose from. Haley will end up with a boyfriend, but is one better for her than another?
On the whole, the book seems to move really quickly and moves from one decision to the next; at others the reader may feel like they missed a step, but it is easy to catch up and is likely a result of multiple ways of ending up in the same place. After reading all of the endings, some are a little more satisfying than others. In my first reading, I made decisions for Haley as I would have made them in my life. That ending ended up being my favorite, but will that be the same for every reader? It's all part of the fun of choosing your own path.
