Rod McKuen was one of the best selling poets for his time.
I've enjoyed Rod McKuen since I was in high school, but he can be very depressing.
Added to my collection. I love his poetry.
A surprise for my husband. He's been reading McKuen since the beginning. He's difficult to buy for but when he mentioned McKuen, I hopped on and bought 4 of his books.
I owned this book in the 60's and lost it when it was "borrowed". It was a book I read and reread many times. I was amazed when I got this copy at how many of these beautiful poems were still embedded in my memory. Rod McKuen speaks to the heart as no one else can.
I love this poet and especially this book.

I think he is under appreciated, but his poems are sometimes inscrutable but very moving!!
